Dental implants may be the best solution for the following cases:
- To replace missing teeth. Especially in cases where the posterior teeth (behind the canines) have been extracted and the only solution would be a partial denture.
- When a single tooth is missing, an implant supported crown will preserve the adjacent natural teeth by avoiding the need to prepare them.
- For stability and retention of overdentures in patients with severe bone loss. These patients suffer due to severely redused chewing efficiency. Implants offer a reliable solution and dramatically improve the chewing capability.
Patients with poor oral health, insufficient amount of jaw bone, heavy smokers, children and those with health conditions that affect bone healing, are often not good canditates for dental implants.
